New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. produces manufactured sandstone and quartzite sands at several quarries throughout Pennsylvania and Western New York. In addition, natural sand and fine-sized limestone “sand” is available at select sites.
Sand uses include prestressed concrete product manufacturing; concrete masonry manufacturing; highway and road construction; blacktop production; ready-mix concrete production; masonry and stucco applications; state- and county-certified septic system products; walkways and play areas; and trench lining aggregate.
Gravel products include both crushed and round material composed of igneous rock fragments. The variety of gravel sizes produced through crushing and screening in the Western New York Area plants are used in highway and road construction projects; hot-mix asphalt; ready-mix concrete; underdrain material; chip seal road surfaces; water anti-skid and residential uses. For large gravel orders from Western New York, delivery is available into Pennsylvania by rail.
