You can use this tool to compare the costs between aglime materials. To get a fairly accurate comparison we first convert the materials to “per ton of calcium carbonate equivalent (CCE)” and then compare the total cost per ton of CCE. Keep in mind that the material must meet the minimum fineness requirements. As long as these minimums are met, fineness would not be a major consideration except in an emergency that requires extremely rapid reaction.

The aglime’s particle size guarantee provides assurance of both short-term and long-term correction of soil pH and release of vital soil nutrients. The combination of even soil coverage and timely application in late fall, winter, or early spring is the most effective use of limestone.
50 pound bags of calcium and magnesium (dolomitic) limestone are available for smaller lawn and garden applications with the same quality guarantees.
Designed for spinner-spreader application methods, New Enterprise damp aglime products provide additional lower-cost alternatives for aglime needs while still providing quality guarantees and aglime benefits with a higher moisture content. Damp calcium aglime products are available as Ag-20 and Ag-16.
