To get a fairly accurate comparison we first convert the materials to “per ton of calcium carbonate equivalent (CCE)” and then compare the total cost per ton of CCE. Keep in mind that the material must meet the minimum fineness requirements. As long as these minimums are met, fineness would not be a major consideration except in an emergency that requires extremely rapid reaction.
